In the event of a power outage or phase imbalance, the elevator system ensures the safe evacuation of passengers trapped between floors by bringing the elevator to the nearest floor level and automatically opening the doors. To prevent panic and minimize the negative impact on passengers’ psychology, an audible announcement system activates, providing the message: “Your rescue operation has begun.” This system can be applied to single-speed, dual-speed, or variable-speed elevator systems.

The system operates in an open loop, meaning it doesn’t require any additional sensors connected to the motor. By measuring the current drawn by the motor, it ensures correct movement direction and contributes to energy efficiency. When the system is activated, monitoring of the brake motor and automatic door functions is also possible, with relevant information displayed on an internal LCD screen.
